A handsome Chinese export porcelain armorial plate made for the English market, finely decorated with a central arms en grisaille and gilding, most probably for More impaling Hog, within a grisaille diapered cavetto with gilded floral reserves, the rim laid out with roundels of the family crest alternating with scrolling floral branches. Measuring 9″ in diameter and besides ┬ásome slight wear to the gilding and an old restoration to a very small chip on the reverse, it is in very good condition. Circa 1740-1750.
