A very fine Chinese export porcelain reticulated basket and stand in the famous Rockefeller pattern, the oval tray centered with a charming Mandarin scene unfolding on a garden terrace, with similar images in reserve against the hand-cut reticulated walls of the basket, and both pieces detailed with fine diapering, sepia landscape cartouches and gilded scrolling foliate borders. Of a generous size and presence, measuring 10 1/2″ across, and in very good condition. Some of the finest pieces of the China Trade from this period were created in this lavish pattern. Circa 1795.
