A beautiful pair of Chinese export porcelain 14″ chargers finely decorated with an expansive landscape with a figure in a pavilion overlooking a wide river with ships and a pagoda in the distance, while a traveler on horseback with his attendant move along a grassy path in the foreground, all within a very finely hand-painted outer border of bianco-sopra-bianco scrolling foliate decoration, the effect resembling fine lacework. One with a line in the center sealed, the other with a line on the rim sealed and rim frits filled, otherwise good condition. Ex-Elinor Gordon Collection.¬†¬†Circa 1740.
