A beautiful pair of Chinese export porcelain Kangxi period lotus form dishes, decorated in underglaze blue and centered with a profusion of flowering peony and chrysanthemums, crickets and butterflies amongst rockwork, the flora and fauna motif continues on the paneled border, each lotus petal painted with a vibrant natural vignette, the rim edged with a cafe-au-lait glaze, popular with the Dutch market.
