Famille Verte Coffee Pot #4147 SOLD

Large Coffee Pot

Large covered coffee pot c. 1720-30. This large and most impressive pot is vividly painted in famille verte enamels of iron red, green and gilt. With very fine brush strokes, the large peony is superbly painted in tones of red – the dome cover is finished with a lotus bud finial. 10-3/4 inches. (End of spout with restoration).

Yongzheng Teapot #4216

An elegant Chinese Export Yongzheng teapot decorated with a cockerel on rockwork amongst flowering branches of peonies, all rendered in the soft, famille rose palette of enamels that so typifies this sophisticated period.  Measuring 4 3/4″ tall, and dating to circa 1735.  Restoration.

Large and Rare Hunt Bowl

A beautifully enameled Chinese Export 14 inch punch bowl decorated with scenes of mounted hunters and their packs of hounds in pursuit of a fox – all taken from prints of the period. This bowl’s interior is finely painted with large roundel depicting a huntsman and his hounds. Qianlong.
