An extremely unusual Chinese export porcelain covered warming dish very finely painted in the Orange Fitzhugh pattern, bearing a monogrammed roundel inscribed “B” and with the rather rare feature of an interior double compartment serving dish. Of generous size and in very good condition with the exception of some wear to the very bottom of the hot water dish, and some flaking of the glaze to the knop, otherwise, in good order and just a very unusual form, the likes of which we’ve never seen. Measuring about 6″ tall x 10 1/4″ across. Circa 1820.
