An especially fine Chinese export porcelain Yongzheng period blue and white plate, decorated with a bird perched upon rockwork amongst flowering branches within a very meticulously rendered diapered cavetto, the outer rim with four groups of flowering branches. The quality of the glaze, the intensity of the the cobalt blue, and the sophistication of the painting are superlative. ┬áMeasuring 9 3/4″ in diameter, in very good condition, dating to circa 1730.
