A really fine pair of Chinese export porcelain covered sauce tureens with their matching undertrays, decorated in famille rose enamels with overglaze blue and gilding, vibrantly rendered with baskets of flowers and fruits and floral details. Each tray with a label inscribed Ruth Dupont in pencil, and with a history of descent in the family, having been given by the Duponts to their daughter, and hence passed on to their grand daughter. Each tureen measuring 6 1/2″ tall x 7 1/2″ wide, and both in good condition with only minimal wear to the enamels. An opportunity to own not only an elegant pair of Chinese export porcelain tureens, but also a small piece of one of the greatest decorative arts collection in this country. Circa 1795. pr. $ 1950.
