A fine Chinese export porcelain 5 1/2″ saucer made for the American market, centered with a sepia eagle supporting a red-striped shield beneath a radiant halo of gold stars. Originally part of a complete tea service ordered by a patriotic citizen of our new Republic, circa 1800-1810.  The saucer with a small rim flake filled to the reverse along with a firing line to the rim with an associated glaze line, otherwise a great addition to an American market collection with a superbly rendered American eagle after an early version of the United States. $450.00
