A very beautiful pair of Chinese export porcelain Qianlong period figural candleholders of impressive 16″ size, modeled as a pair of court ladies each holding a vase which serves as the candleholder.  Decorated in Famille Rose enamels with exquisitely detailed robes and mounted upon a pair of gilded stands.  Figures, especially of this size are rare compared to other export wares as they were expensive and difficult to produce and costly to ship; they were highly valued in their day as they are today.  Qianlong period, mid-18th century.
